I have always loved the shows featuring recipes and how to. I started watching and loved Emeril at night with his band, loved the afternoon line up with Rachel Ray, Paula Deen, Ina Garten and so on. It's become so disappointing watching this network change into Guy Fieti TV or get so incredibly lazy with hours of the same show back to back. Would be nice to see less Game Show Network And more great chefs and cooks teaching us all something while entertaining.

Yesterday I was watching Food Network Tv and there was an advertisement for a "50 Shardes of Grey" movie. I expect to watch a Food TV network without having to seeing an advertisement for soft pornography. I will be boycotting Food Network until this advertisement is removed.

Please listen to the chats online that tell you that we are all tired of so many shows with Guy. DDD, GGG, and now others. It is too much, way too much, of one person, the same show for hours and hours, all weekend long.

I used to watch Food Network all the time. Now, I rarely ever watch, and most of my friends have stopped watching all together. And it is because of the network obsession with Guy.

I am 13 years old and I enjoy watching this network and the shows are very entertaining. Although, I have been watching Kids Baking Championship and I have been very disappointed of this current season. The kids on the show this season are not as skilled as the kids in past seasons. This season the kids are not able to bake a cake successfully, they are making basic measuring mistakes, and they have failed to make certain baked items that they should be able to make considering this level of competition. Even though there are some kids better than others, there were kids the same age in past seasons, and they were able to use many more advanced techniques. I love this show very much, but this is my concern. Thank you.

Hello, I like your network but please stop showing so many episodes back-to-back of Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. I like the show but not all the time. You are driving me away and towards the Cooking Network. Just some friendly advice. Thank you.

I noticed Katie Lee cutting a pizza on the cookie sheet with a pizza cutter. Won't that ruin the cookie sheet? I would like Katie Lee reply because every time I tried doing that it ruined my cookie sheet. Is there a secret on how to do it without ruining the cookie sheet?

Love the show and I never miss an episode. This happened on 706!

What bothers me is that many of the female chefs/cooks don't pull their hair back when they are cooking. Wouldn't want hair in my food.

My mom and I watched Chopped together every time I was home from University. It is still my absolute favourite show on the Food Network. Even though we live in Canada, the US shows continued to be our favourites :)

What you should know about me is I have a crippling anxiety when it comes to trying new foods. I was the type of person who tried to order chicken fingers (hold the dipping sauce, please!) at the Keg as a young adult. I also literally just tried cheese in cubed form for the first time. The food options in my small town (have you heard of Keswick, Ontario, Canada?) growing up were lacklustre. I've moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada and their access, choices and opportunity has inspired me to not only start (cautiously start) trying everything the city has to offer, but to explore my food anxiety in a hilarious and authentic way in my blog Picky and Prosecco,

I'm sharing this because the Food Network and Chopped have been instrumental in my food journey through education and awareness about different ingredients and meals. They've led me to visiting celebrity chef restaurants each time I travel to the United States where I feel the trust needed for me to try new things.

I reference how impacted I've been throughout my blog and really just wanted an opportunity to share how grateful I am for the show's existence and for how it's mere concept has continued to inspire me!

Well, it happened yet again. A young, educated, articulate African American lady won an episode of Chopped. Her name is Dr. Winnette McIntosh Ambrose. She has earned degrees from MIT in Chemical Engineering and BioChemical Engineering. She and her brother, also a degreed professional, own and operate a Bakery in the D.C. area. Additionally, together they won an episode of Cupcake Wars. The Chopped episode she just won featured bakers with the winner going on to compete in the Chopped Gold Medal Games against a Grill Master, a Fry Master another Champion for the Championship Gold Medal. That being said, despite the fact that I try NOT to watch Chopped because FoodNetwork has inundated it's viewers with way too many versions and reruns, I had to watch simply to prove that FoodNetwork is NOT in the business of discriminating against it's contestants as has been claimed by a couple contributors days ago. I believe a couple apologies are owed the FoodNetwork. No need to mention the imminent lawsuit threatened. I don't believe anybody believed you knew what you were talking about.

Love your show. Could you possibly find the Galloping Gourmet's recipe for Chicken Livers, they were delicious and I saw him make it in 1961 when I got married and have lost my recipe. HELP.

Hey Sally! Just for fun, I Googled "The Galloping Gourmet Episodes". On the first site listed were 100 Galloping Gourmet Episodes. I didn't see Chicken Livers, but my French is not up to speed, so I know you will enjoy perusing these options. Have fun and Good Luck.

I've just watched the latest episode of Worst Cooks. Regrettably the mentors and producers continue to engage in "ageism" as they have done in at least the last four seasons. This time they chose to send Lily home. She is an Asian American woman who appears to be the oldest contestant. While her demeanor was sometimes comical, in every episode she managed to complete the assignments successfully and garnered compliments from Tyler. On the last assignment she had to make a stuffed burger. Tyler's criticism was that her burger was a little dry and that she finished too soon, therefore she should have made a more complex dish. A number of other contestants on the blue team made dishes that were not as good but he liked their "thought process".

It seems as if the producers go out of their way to make fun of the older contestants, especially in the celebrity season. They repeatedly show the ages of the older contestants and yet keep younger contestants who make obvious scripted mispronouncements for cheesy dramatic effect.

I've learned a good deal from watching the show but I don't think I can accept the negative treatment given to anybody remotely close to being a senior citizen. Since the only effective form of protest is economic, I will vote with my fingers and turn off Worst Cooks in America.

Ok, so I was going through today's FoodNetwork recipes e-mailed to me and I came across an ingredient I'd not heard of before. And, it's neither foreign nor exotic. Get this, "Instant Flour" such as Wondra. Somebody, please tell me what this is. I'm imagining it's a fine ground flour similar to Cake Flour, but this is news to me.

I just watched the $50,000 finale for "Chopped" and I thought it was so INHUMANE how the "winner" tore off the LIVE crab face and his back side..all the while the poor thing was still moving! This maybe the reality but this should be censored for TV, long does it take to humanely kill the animal? I will never watched this show again!

Hi, first of all I want to say how much we love Food Network ! BUT, we were watching on of the cutest shows ever, Kids Baking Championship, with Duff, & Valerie as the judges. They had a challenge to bake an ice cream cake, & ice cream on the side. Several of the kids made some real doozies! They had to send one child home. They chose Beverly, she is one of the sweetest, funniest, kids on the show. Her ice cream was technically ice cream! It was runny, but several of the kids made ice cream that didn't technically suffice for ice cream, and they made it through. I am very dissapointed in Duff! I could tell he was the one pushing for her to be sent home! Shame on you Duff! You shouldn't play favorites!

General profile image

George - 13 d 6 h ago

Eh, uh,.. am I the one who is confused here? Duff was a judge of a contest. And you "shame on him for playing favorites"? Really? It wouldn't be much of a contest if he didn't choose a winner and therefore losers. That's just how it works. Maybe they could just split the prize 8 ways and give each child a "Participant" trophy.

General profile image

George - 13 d 6 h ago

But, while we're picking on Duff. He has had at least 2 shows on FoodNetwork in addition to many appearances as a judge on contest shows along with multiple guest spots. I have seen him as a contestant on a few baking challenges, and I don't ever recall him winning a single one. If anybody has seen him win one, let me know. I'm simply curious.

You've missed an opportunity to bring new life to your format by not having more episodes of Cajun Aces. It's disappointing that you aired their episodes without promotional clips and then scheduled the shows at non prime times. These young chefs are passionate, genuine and unbelievable hard working people. I wish this couple could be seen more easily....truly inspiring to all age groups.

George - 26 d 18 h ago

Oh Nancy! You caught me in a state of pure ignorance. While I am awake, my TV is on and alternates between Food Network and CNN. So, after reading your post, I have to admit that I never watched, let alone, heard of Cajun Aces. But, I did Google Cajun Aces last night and learned that there were evidently 4 shows taped and broadcast in the latter part of '17. I couldn't find out what happened after that. But, from the description of the 4 spots which were shown, I would have to agree with you. I would watch Cajun Aces and I hope that Food Network would look at them again. P.S. While I was doing my research, I was given the opportunity to check out yesterday's entire schedule. OMG! Chopped was on from 2 p.m. yesterday afternoon until 4 a.m. this morning. That's pathetic at best. Keep up your crusade for Cajun Aces. I'm on your bandwagon.

Thanks so much for your reply! I know you would be a fan of Cajan Aces....definitely on my bucket list to visit their restaurants. Any time you get to goggle their restaurants, Sac-A-Lait in New Orleans in the warehouse district or Country Roads you would be impressed. We could start a fan club!!

General profile image

George - 23 d 11 h ago

I haven't been back to N.O. in a year, but I can't wait to go again. I'll put Sac-A-Lait on my bucket list. Have you ever been to Mulate's? I love that place. It's an iconic restaurant just off the River Walk. It's great to stop in for a drink and an order of crawfish. And, better yet, a dinner off the dance floor with dancers and a zydeco band. It's my "go to" to impress friends. But, Sac-A-Lait is on my new list. I'll tell them Nancy sent me. Thanks for the reference. That's how I found Mulate's and also The Gumbo Shoppe, in The Quarter.

Well Nancy, I did it. I was able to watch the Cajun Aces episode you suggested. Pigs and Figs. I must noe tell you that you were absolutely correct. I enjoyed the show immensely and would definitely watch them on a regular basis. First, the cast is very likeable. I definitely knew I could relate to them. Obviously experts in their field, I also found them to be friendly & silly while remaining seriously focused on their results. Their focus on Farm to Table was noticed and appreciated. They actually designed the menus for their big weekend based on what they found available on their farm. They demonstrated their business savy in discussing their financial goals for the event weekend. And finally, we got to see them in the kitchen where it all came together. I definitely enjoyed Cajun Aces and would be a regular viewer. I'm anxious to see more episodes where they feature their White Cloth New Orleans Restaurant, Sac-A-Lait. Thanks for your recommendation of Cajun Aces. I'm on board now too. Now, we just need to work on the decision makers in programming.

Glad you enjoyed the show, I'll give you a heads up for the next episode replay. You will definitely want to watch all four episodes!
