this company is really horrible and does not care about their customers. Very apathetic and really have fees and policies that do not take major situations into account. They are all about getting money out of you even if you are a good paying customer and it is very disgusting. Citi is trash, and I say it with the utmost disrespect since they have no sense or customer relation.

After 25 years of having a card and paying each month in full and on time a collection person called this morning to tell me the balance due this month was in collections since my husband died three weeks ago. They failed to send me a bill as usual for this reason, this is the explanation I received after contacting them directly. An individual called asking for estate information and would not provide any details of charges due. I had called to cancel the card after my husbands death to protect our credit. Just a great example of how much your business really means to this company.

Citibank incompetence enables fraud. I was the victim of a fraudulent activity only due to the trust I placed in Citibank. I paid out money based on a check received. It was deposited in the bank. 3 days later I call to see if it cleared. I was told by the Citibank customer service rep that the check had cleared and I was good to go. Based on that I withdrew cash and paid out funds. 2 days later i saw that the check was on hold. When I called to inquire, I was told that even though the money was available at the time, it was no longer there as it was a fraudulent check. How does that even make sense! Either the money is there or it isn't. No one said that there was a possibility the money could be taken back. I certainly wouldn't have proceeded with the transaction if there was any chanceCitibank incompetence enables fraud. When I called Citibank again I was given the run around by reps named Stanley, Paul. I spoke to Claudio Dejesus, my Citigold rep and again received no help.

I asked to speak to his supervisor an am still waiting to hear from someone.

At this point I will close out my long-time account and move the money over to Chase. I'm sure Citibank doesn't care but it just goes to prove how shortsighted they are as I guarantee they make more money off of my account in a few months than what would be needed to solve my issue.

Unfortunately, the exact same thing just happened to us. The only thing we wish would happen is that the federal government shut this fraudulent company down. This should be a warning to all, stay away from Citibank.

I've beentrying to resolve a dispute over refunds that happened over a year ago. Month after month trying to get Citibank to post on to my account. I bought $300 worth of Lights yet I''ve been paying off another $800 on top of that because of their discrepancy. I'm due back almost 1000 dollars but they refuse to resolve the conflict. Absolute nightmare dealing with these people. How can they cheat people like this and still have a conscience? How do they keep hurting people and get away with it?

My name is Mickelin Burnes-Browne I have been trying to resolve an issue with Citi bank since March 2017. I discovered that the charges on my account were a result of a sham. Robert Acosta of Acosta Global Marketing, LLC who was employed to do my marketing started off with a good game and it lasted for several months until I discovered that we was charging my account through a 3rd party Square/Venmo but not giving me ANY deliverables. After several contacts with the bank the credit card company to report this I finally got to a Miranda in Kentucky (hidden) which was June 30, 2017; a Sherry at (hidden) and (hidden) July 11, 2017 and July 24, 2017. I took my complaint to a friend that works for Citi and he suggested that I go to the Area VP in my community and I did that. I spoke to Laureen Delaney in San Jose. I cannot count the number of times that I went there to her office, left messages with her or her assistant and it was always the same -- I PROMISE THAT I WILL GET BACK TO YOU. I WILL HELP YOU. This was the standard message that I got from everyone that I talked to at Citi--from the bank to the credit card department. My goal is to pay this balance off, but not without some consideration from Citi bank. To show good faith I paid $5000, then $4000, $300 and since then it has been close to the minimum as I have been charged interest on top of interest on fraudulent amounts. I want interest charges on these fraudulent amounts reversed since March and as much other interest on the principal as reasonably possible. I have stopped using the credit card and requested no more credit be extended. I was very clear on this point when I talked to some overseas clerk and still they sent me a credit card, which I refuse to use. As long as I had no issues I was always appreciated by Citi but as soon as I have some major issues Citi employees from clerks to upper management turn a deaf ear. I do intend to pursue this matter to the fullest extent of the law. Ms. DELANEY SAID THAT SHE WOULD GET LEGAL INVOLVED. THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED EITHER. AFTER BEING WITH CITI BANK FOR SO LONG AND HAVING SEVERAL ACCOUNTS I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED. MR. PANDIT I NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU. I have more than enough documentation to substantiate my efforts and I deserve your immediate attention to this matter. And when all is said and done I will not do business with another Citi bank.

I deposited $150.00 into my citi Checking account that was opened 12/13/18 per citi banking app on 1/24 via Zelle at the same time a payment of $35 was suppose to go to Discover but it never got there. I called Citi Bank on Sunday 1/28 inquiring on what happened to my money once I saw a NSF fee of $34.00 hit my account spoke with two different reps when the first one couldn't understand what I was talking about and adsured me there is no missing money I requested a supervisior who informed me that money was infact missing and Citi bank was not paying Discover. I was told on 1/28 by a manager that the missing money would be refunded to me on Monday morning which is a lie for when the money did not hit my account on Monday 1/29 morning I called back to Citi Bank who advisded me that the money maybe returned sometime on Monday 1/29 but it may also go away since Discover tried again for pull the funds on 1/26 and since the $35 was still missing it too is begining sent back to discover for NSF. Even though manager from 1/28 call said I would not get another NSF charge. Now I'm fighting citi bank over $35 they already shorted my account an additional $1 they are theives and should not be trusted. Bottom line of the date and time of this submission I have yet to receive my missing money.

I do not have bank account, I have business next to a branch in sunland California, I would need exchange coins in rolls and the employees refused to do the service for me because I do not have account with them. Is that correct ? Also is that encouraging me to open account in that bank?

I have been dealing with trying to get a refund on my Costco Citibank card for two months, being told two different things by two different customer service representatives. After asking for the corporate telephone number where I could make a formal complaint, I was put on terminal hold for over 30 minutes!! This is all over a $180 charge for a flight that I gave 1 month's cancellation notice for and for which I had paid for travel insurance. What a joke! NEVER waste your money. Deal with American Express. They honor what they say they will do and credit your account when/if needed.

I have a double cash citi credit card. Tried to cancel a service with many calls and texts

To the service provider. I sent citi a record, history of the 7 calls and 4 texts. That I sent to the service provider. Also sent an email and talked to the service provider canceling my service. I have received No service from the service provider. The service signed my name to a Docusign document which is a contract authorizing them to Bill my credit card.

I never signed the contract, This is Fraud. Citi Customer Service is useless and incompetent. Citi told me that I need a letter from the service provider that frsudently billed my credit card stating that they accepted my cancellation requests. Citi Fraud dept is a waste of time, told me to higher a lawyer to prove.

I can't say how much I hate this fuCking bank. I wish death on everything and everyone that works there. They hold your money hostage and tell u it's for your protection.. I went to jail overnight cuz my card declined a dinner bill. A FUCKING DINNER BILL FOR $180. On hold for a supervisor on a Saturday waiting until they disconnected me. I couldn't pay my bill even tho there's $19,000 in my account.. they called the cops and I went to jail. I can't stand CITI FRUAD BANK. I HATE THEM EITH A SERIOUS PASSION. Words can't describe it. If I could chop of the head of the fucking CEO's in front of his kids it'll be a dream come true.. yes these are alll threats.

Such HORRIBLE customer service. Got the card with a credit limit of $1500. Then arpound payment due date. I never received a statement. Got a call a couple days later saying payment past due. Explained I didn't receive statement and made it right. Then then decreased my credit limit without telling me. I went to use my card and got declined. Called and got told to bad. Can't increase without running you r credit again but more than likely it won't be approved cause of the late payment. But they won't do anything to make It right in anyway. Then tried to tell me they had no other higher managers to take to and they wouldn't do anything.

citi bank closed a Costco card with both my husbands name and mine on it. When I called to ask why it had been closed I was told that they needed to speak to the "primary" card holder...my husband. When I explained that he could NOT speak to them (he's had a stroke) they said "sorry" still can't say anything.

I will continue to use the card as ID when I go to Costco...and hope that Costco realizes they've got inadequate service for their customers. Being penalized for NOT charging is ridiculous. If there is any negative impact to my credit report then my next step is an attorney. After reading the comments below, I guess I'm better off that I didn't have a dispute over a charge!

basically the same thing happened to me, except my husband died. All bills had been paid in full. I had a Hilton Visa for 17 years, then they took over Costco business and dropped Hilton. Personally, I think they closed the account because of the yearly rebate due next month. The last statement I saw, showed 134.00 back in Feb.

Horrible Service with No Answers - 28 d ago

Went to use my debit card on 12/27, said it was declined. Called customer service and they advised a security block was on my account. Nobody can give me any answers. Keep saying the account is being closed. Have funds in account. Cannot get funds out any way since they have pulled out of Texas. Won't let me transfer money to an outside checking account or anything. Keep saying account still not closed, but I cannot get my money!!! This is absolutely ridiculous.
